The very first day of the trip, begin your journey from Manali and complete all the check-in formalities at the hotel. Begin your trip from the twisty roads of the Kullu Valley with the Himalayas on one side and River Beas on the other. The roads are tricky; however, breathtakingly beautiful, which will mesmerize your soul.
Wake up to scenic sights early in the morning and kick start your bike ride via enticing Rohtang Pass, positioned at an altitude of 3798 m. Drive via Lahaul valley, nestled amid snow-clad peaks and beauty of these peaks cannot be defined in the words. Leave the Jispa behind and be ready to get lost in the Greater Himalayan landscape. The highway route to Sarchu will take you into the heart of the mountains. In the evening, on your arrival at Sarchu camp, relax for the rest of the day. Keep yourself hydrated to keep away AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness).
The day will be challenging and your ride will begin from the flatlands and get into the mountain horizon. Drive through the Taglang La Pass – the second-highest motorable mountain pass in the world, situated at the height of 5300 meters. It's the challenging route and after crossing it, the well-maintained roads will take you to the lustrous and lively Leh. On the way, you’ll get to see the spectacular monasteries of Thiksey and Shey, nestled on the top of a hill and are the major attraction of the trip. Later in the evening, check-in to the hotel, on the borders of Changspa. Explore the local area, to dig into real Ladakhi culture and load-up yourself with delicious food.
On day 5, wake up to spectacular sunrise and leave for Khardungla Pass - highest motorable road, settled 18360 feet above the sea level. Explore the beauty of Leh and savour delightful lunch at local eating joints. This will be the last day in the Leh. Don’t waste even a minute of it, wake up early, have your breakfast and be ready to get lost in its wonderful attractions. Start from visiting the white-coloured Shanti Stupa and shop till you drop from the local bazaars. It’s time to leave the charm of mountains behind and head back to Leh via Pang and Sarchu, which is the middle point of Manali and Leh. Stay here for the night in the camps and the rest of the day is free for you to enjoy on your own.
Start your bike ride from the plain of Sarchu and reach Baralacha La Pass till afternoon. Relish your taste buds from the local eating joints and ready for the smooth and comfortable ride up to the Lahaul ranges. After reaching the Rohtang pass, you have to be a bit careful because the roads here are quite bumpy and till the night, you will arrive at Manali. Stay in the hotel overnight.
