Acclimatization is Essential

  • Rest completely on Day 1 after arrival in Leh.

  • Drink plenty of water.

  • Avoid alcohol and smoking for the first 24–48 hours.

  • Avoid heavy physical activity initially.


2️⃣ AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) Awareness

Symptoms may include:

  • Headache

  • Nausea

  • Dizziness

  • Shortness of breath

Precautions:

  • Stay hydrated (3–4 liters daily).

  • Eat light meals.

  • Consult your doctor before travel if you have heart, BP or respiratory issues.

  • Inform your tour manager immediately if symptoms worsen.
