Acclimatization is Very Important

  • Leh is located at approx. 11,500 ft above sea level.

  • Rest completely on the first day after arrival.

  • Avoid heavy physical activity for the first 24 hours.

  • Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.

  • Avoid alcohol and smoking initially.


2️⃣ Be Aware of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness)

Ladakh’s high altitude may cause AMS.

Common Symptoms:

  • Headache

  • Nausea

  • Dizziness

  • Shortness of breath

  • Fatigue

Precautions:

  • Drink 3–4 liters of water daily.

  • Eat light and healthy meals.

  • Carry prescribed medicines after consulting your doctor.

If required, descend to a lower altitude immediately.

Weather in Ladakh changes rapidly. Even in summer, nights are cold.
